The Vietnam Vincent
This very special Vincent was recently restored by Herb Harris' shop in Austin, Texas. The Lightning-spec engine was built as a spare for world speed record attempts made in Montlhery, France in 1952. The engine eventually made it's way to Vietnam. In late 1969, it came to the US. Look for Lee Klancher's story about this bike in The Vincent in the Barn by Tom Cotter (to be published Fall 2009).
