McCormick-IH 141
The 141 replaced the 127-SP and represented a significant upgrade, with improved cooling and operator controls and comfort. The 141 was built from 1954 to 1957 and was available with a 10-, 12-, and 14-foot platform. A corn head was released for the 141 in 1956. It didn’t work all that well, but the innovation marked the beginning of an era in which corn harvesting would move to combines rather than tractor-mounted pickers. More than 11,000 No. 141 combines were built. This survivor is operated by its owner, Daniel J. Tordai. CREDIT: Lee Klancher
