Cleaning the floor required constant work. The floor was repainted during the week-long shoot, despite our best efforts to keep it clean.
Note that the tire marks and reflector boards are all being removed post-production. These images will have immaculate white backgrounds in the book.
The largest machine we put in the studio was this 8010 experimental. The tractor is 22 feet long and 12 feet to the top of the stack. Note how the light carried all the way down to the base of the machine. The Chimera box and Speedotron lighting did the job nicely.
This John Deere Model 40 was owned by Tish Deere-Wiman, who was the great grand-daughter of John Deere, the founder of the company. She married Charles Deere-Wiman, who became the first company leader who was not a blood relative to John Deere.
